Simon underwent successful surgery for a fractured fibula on Friday in Nantes, the Club confirmed in a update on the player’s injury.
Kombouaré revealed that the Nigerian’s recovery process will commence shortly, with expectations for him to return to action in the upcoming season.
Simon suffered the injury on International duty, adding to the challenges faced by FC Nantes in the ongoing season.
“Moses Simon had surgery in Nantes. We are sad for him because he wanted to find me but also to come back to help the team. That is not the case. Now, we will have to do without him. Otherwise, it’s all hands on deck.
“The idea is that he is ready for next season. Second, he is in the recovery phase.
“He was able to resume racing with the surgeon’s approval, but there is a very strict protocol to follow,” Kombouaré told club’s official website.
