West Ham fear Jarrod Bowen is facing lengthy spell on sidelines to add to David Moyes woes

West Ham have been dealt yet another blow after Jarrod Bowen was struck by injury and faces a lengthy spell out, talkSPORT understands.

Bowen hobbled off against Bristol City in the FA Cup at the weekend after playing the full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw that he scored in.

And the early prognosis is not encouraging and talkSPORT understands that the England international is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

That would be a huge blow to David Moyes, who also learned that Lucas Paqueta will be out for four weeks with injury.

The Brazilian was also a casualty during the weekend, as well as defender Konstantinos Mavropanos.

With Mohammed Kudus already jetting off for the AFCON, the Hammers are seriously depleted for the foreseeable future.

Michail Antonio is also out injured, leaving West Ham with a serious lack of firepower.

Bowen has been one of the club’s best players this season, with 11 goals in the Premier League already.

His goals have led West Ham to a fine sixth place in the table, including wins over Arsenal and Manchester United in recent weeks.

But the loss of Bowen for a significant portion of the season could have detrimental effects on their progress.

Especially with big games coming up in the next few weeks alone including Sheffield United, Bournemouth, Man United and Arsenal.

It will also be a huge blow to his own ambitions as he looks to convince Gareth Southgate of a spot in the England squad for the Euros this summer.

West Ham were already considering dipping into the transfer window this month to bolster their strikeforce.

And those plans might have to be hastened in light of Bowen’s injury with Sunderland star Jack Clarke a potential option.

Ajax star and former Tottenham Hotspur forward Steven Bergwijn is another player that Moyes is looking at.

Moyes might also have to stall a deal for Danny Ings leaving, as well, who has been linked with a loan move to Wolves.
