Waldrum Keen on Super Falcons Coping without Plumptre, Demehin – Latest Sports News In Nigeria

Plumptre and Demehin have both been sidelined due to injuries, but Nigeria won the first-leg of the tie by a lone goal courtesy of Rasheedat Ajibade.

Expressing regret over their absence, Waldrum acknowledged the significance of both players to the team’s dynamics.

However, he assured fans that the squad possesses sufficient depth and quality replacements to fill the void left by Plumptre and Demehin.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with those two players, they are both valued and important players to us. They are two mainstays in defence and it is a big loss not to have those two.

“My first thought and concern is getting them healthy and ensuring they are going to be okay but I think as a coach you must always have a plan B and we’ve been working on those plans.”

“Think we have players who are ready to step in and do the job for us. I think have confidence in the depth of the squad and I believe they can come in and do the job for us,” He concluded.

Randy Waldrum will be aiming to take good result to the second leg in Pretoria next week.
