Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk: Net worths and big-money fights compared ahead of historic undisputed heavyweight clash

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set for the biggest fight of their careers in their undisputed champion clash and with it will come a bumper payday.

The huge rivals will clash in Saudi Arabia to crown the first undisputed champion in their weight class since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

It is set to be one of the biggest events in boxing history and both fighters are expected to make an incredible amount of money for it.

So ahead of the huge bout, talkSPORT.com takes a look at Fury and Usyk’s net worth and whether this is their best-paid fight…

Tyson Fury: Net worth

Fury is estimated to be worth around £50million, according to Forbes.

But that number is likely to have increased exponentially since their latest update in 2022.

The 35-year-old was one of the highest-paid athletes in the world two years ago and since then he has fought Francis Ngannou and had a Netflix series.

He has built his worth in boxing, but he has also had success elsewhere, making appearances in the WWE and reportedly making £11.9million for his participation.

As well as that, in November 2019, Fury’s autobiography, Behind the Mask, was released and reached the No.1 bestseller position on Amazon within 24 hours.

Tyson Fury: Big-money fights

As mentioned, Fury’s biggest earner in his career has of course been his fights.

And he is set to receive his largest paycheck against Usyk with the ‘Gypsy King’ expected to bank over £100million in Saudi Arabia.

That prize money will beat out any of his other previous huge bouts against Ngannou, Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora.

Last year, he took on UFC legend Francis Ngannou on a spectacle night for boxing and controversially won to claim a reported £50million for maintaining his unbeaten record.

His highest-paid bout came before that came against Whyte as he received a reported £26million for knocking out his long-time rival in April 2022.

In his trilogy fight against Chisora, Fury is said to have received around £20million.

Oleksandr Usyk: Net worth

Usyk is estimated to have a net worth of around £45million.

The Ukrainian has a similar amount of money to his name as his opponent Fury.

His worth took a huge jump in 2022 after he beat Anthony Joshua in a rematch to defend his world heavyweight titles.

Usyk will also be bringing in cash from sponsorships and endorsements while having his own business ventures on the side.

He co-owns a boxing social media platform called ‘Ready to Fight’ and also runs a non-profit organisation to help people from Ukraine recover from the ongoing war.

The 37-year-old also founded his own boxing promotion company, Usyk-17 Promotions, which helps young athletes begin a career in the sport.

Oleksandr Usyk: Big-money fights

Usyk’s biggest fight purse came against Joshua two years ago.

He is said to have received a whopping £42million for the bout in Saudi Arabia which had a huge impact on his net worth.

It trumped his previous highest-paid fight which was the first clash with AJ, for which he collected around £16million.

Before that, Usyk’s purses were only around the million mark as he took on Derek Chisora and Tony Bellew in 2020 and 2018 respectively.

The £42million winnings from the Joshua bout have been hard to beat and he took a major drop in purse against Daniel Dubois.

He only received around £5million for that win but will now jump up to his biggest-ever pay when taking on Fury later this year.
