Tommy Fury called out for huge UK stadium fight by ex-UFC superstar, who also wants to face Logan Paul

Tommy Fury has been issued a challenge by ex-UFC star turned boxer Jorge Masvidal.

Former UFC welterweight Masvidal has made a switch to the boxing ring and will face Nate Diaz on June 1, with his ambition to take further big fights in the squared circle.

Fury has become a big name in the sport, despite having had just ten fights, which is largely down to his two lucrative wins over influencers Jake Paul and KSI in 2023.

And ‘Gamebred’ has his eyes on a shot at Fury on British shores, as part of his planned three-fights which could include Logan Paul.

“Not with Jake Paul, 100 per cent more likely with Logan Paul,” he said at a a press conference,” Jake don’t sell like Logan.

“The UFC allowed me to do some boxing matches, but Jake had said some unpleasant things about Dana White and also about the UFC.

“So the UFC basically said, ‘F**k you, we’re not going to let you go get money with who is not the biggest draw.’ I can fight Logan Paul, but Jake Paul’s an a**.

“Tommy Fury interests me. We can go to England and sell out some arenas over there. He has some matches, and he has a win over Jake.

“The UFC will let me fight Tommy, so I would definitely go over there and throw down with Tommy at some point.”

Fury is expected to be out for a significant period of 2024 after having surgery on a hand injury, and has yet to discuss a return opponent.

A clash with Masvidal could be realistic for the young Briton, given he will likely pursue big-money fights before returning to the traditional boxing ranks.

It was reported that he was in talks with Roy Jones Jr, but no official offer materialised for the exhibition.

Previous rival Paul, who he beat by split decision in March 2023, even claimed he was offered a huge rematch deal to fight on July 20.

But the ‘Problem Child’ claimed that he turned it down with legend Mike Tyson now the replacement.

But in a surprising turn of events earlier this year, Fury instead revealed he could target a boxing clash with current UFC superstar Conor McGregor.

He said: “I’m looking to get this [injury] out the way, nice and recovered.

‘I’ve seen that Jake Paul is fighting Mike Tyson, I mean why not me and McGregor next?

“I’ve got a comeback fight and I’d like him for my return so McGregor, get in touch.”
