Michigan stars troll Alabama with viral Crimson Tide skit after Rose Bowl win

Michigan players celebrated the Wolverines’ thrilling 27-20 overtime victory over Alabama in the College Football Playoff semifinals by trolling the Crimson Tide with a little help from comedian Druski.

A recent viral video starring Druski saw the actor embracing a redneck stereotype and interacting with passionate Bama fans, as Druski pounded beers and proudly proclaimed, “I don’t give a p*** about nothing but the Tide, baby.”

That video, entitled “Down South they don’t care bout nothin but Football & AMERICA,” apparently caught the attention of Michigan players, who re-enacted part of the segment in a celebratory locker room.

“I don’t give a piss about nothin but the Tide, baby!” shouted a Wolverines player.

Michigan advanced to the CFP championship in Houston by holding on to defeat the Tide on Monday in the Rose Bowl.

A back-and-forth game saw Alabama lead 7-0 and 20-13.

But Michigan continued to fight back, tying the game at 20 with 1:34 left in regulation and then stopping Alabama in OT.

With Michigan and Washington winning in the CFP semifinals, no SEC team advanced to the championship contest at NRG Stadium.

Michigan, which has faced criticism stemming from a cheating controversy for months, clearly enjoyed knocking off Alabama on the way to Houston.

“I don’t give a p*** about nothin’ but the Tide!” shouted a Wolverines player wearing No. 35.

“Blitz Bama, blitz, baby,” joked another Michigan player.

“Trolling each other is the fun part after the game lol,” one fan tweeted.

“Let’s all laugh at Bama,” another fan posted.

“Nothing screams FUN like a little friendly skit, right? A little drama spice ain’t never hurt nobody!” a third fan wrote.

Others weren’t as impressed by the locker room video.

“None of those bums played,” one fan tweeted.

“No one likes a sore winner,” another said.

Michigan advanced to its first CFP championship in school history with the come-from-behind win.

Blake Corum rushed for a 17-yard touchdown in OT to push the Wolverines to victory.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe received a low snap on fourth down in OT and had nowhere to run as Michigan held on in overtime.

“Glorious. That was glorious,” Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh said. “It was a tremendous football game.”

Michigan will face Washington on Tuesday, January 9 for the CFP national championship.
