Leaked behind-the-scenes TNT footage reveals Shaq and Charles Barkley's hilarious x-rated exchange

Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal are two of the best, and most entertaining, sports personalities on TV.

The Inside the NBA analysts have a big brother-little brother type relationship that includes tons of banter and jokes at the expense of one another.

If you’ve ever wondered whether the NBA legends roast each other off camera as much as they do on-camera – now you’ve got your answer.

Fans are rarely privy to their off-camera conversations but leaked behind-the-scenes footage from a recent episode of Inside the NBA gives us a glimpse into their friendship.

During All-Star Weekend, Shaq complained about his recent Orlando Magic jersey retirement ceremony not airing on TNT.

Charles joked that The Big Diesel was mad that the ceremony was shown on NBA TV and not the more popular TNT.

“He says ya’ll didn’t give him any respect putting your s**t on NBA TV,” Chuck claimed.

Ernie Johnson then revealed the reason was because of a double-header of games on TNT.

“Don’t be mad at me,” Shaq clapped back.

“I got three [jersey retirements] – that’s my new name Threesel.”

Kenny Smith then chimed in saying he agreed with Shaq that the ceremony should have been on TNT.

He likened NBA TV to TruTV before Shaq labelled Charles, “a company guy.”

“You are a f****ing company guy,” he reiterated despite Barkley’s protests.

Kenny argued in Shaq’s defence, prompting Sir Charles to tell Smith to “get off [his] balls.

Barkley continued to mock Shaq about how many teams he’d played for during his career – including his own Phoenix Suns – to which O’Neal replied, “That was after my fourth championship while you still have none.”

Johnson laughed as Shaq stated: “A bum can never hurt my feelings.”

“He’s [Charles] homeless when you compare him to me.”

Barkley was then about to roast Shaq about the Boston Celtics also retiring his jersey before a studio engineer gave them a heads up about going on air.

Had the engineer not interrupted there’s no telling how brutal the jokes would have got.

The hilarious clip did the rounds on social media and fans were loving the insight into what goes on when the cameras are (usually) off.

“Good to know they still act the same behind the scenes,” said one fan.

“Shaq be getting so salty and bring up rings,” added another while someone else responded, “Chuck isn’t even fazed anymore by the no ring jokes…he just goes right back to talkin s***.

“This is gold”, a third wrote.

Shaq and Charles have a chemistry like few others, and even though they go at each other there’s clearly a lot of love there.

The Lakers legend has called the 1993 MVP ‘the older brother I never had’ and spoken glowingly about him in the past.

“His mom and my mom had the sweetest friendship, and I didn’t even know,” O’Neal once said.

“I used to hate Charles. We were getting ready to get into a fight, and before I could get to the locker room and put my clothes on to go down to the locker room and see him, I get a call from his mother… who said ‘don’t you hit my boy’ and I was like ‘who is this?'”

“We fight, we argue,” O’Neal added.

“I have little brothers, I have teammates, Grant [Hill] has seen me choke one of my teammates out. It’s part of love.”
