Jake Paul gives telling reaction to Mike Tyson's 'scary' training footage ahead of fight

Jake Paul looked stunned after watching Mike Tyson’s training footage.

Tyson will step into the ring aged 58 to take on YouTube star Paul on July 20, and the heavyweight icon has posted a number of training clips on social media.

Tyson showed some menacing power in training for the Paul fight

Fans have been concerned for both Paul and Tyson, with one even suggesting that the ‘Problem Child’ should cancel the fight after witnessing his raw power.

And in his latest podcast, Paul was shown footage of Tyson working the pads in a montage of new clips, and some from his training to face Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

He can be seen visibly stunned by the punches, leaning forward to take a closer look at what he might be about to come up against.

Paul’s partner, Jutta Leerdam, hilariously asks ‘what happens if he knocks you out?’, to which Paul responded by putting his head in his hands.

Paul was clearly intrigued at the prospect of facing Tyson’s power, and went on to add: “I am biting off a lot.

“This is definitely the toughest, most savage, lethal opponent regardless of age, because the power is the last thing to go. But the reaction and reception of it is insane.

“I almost can’t even believe it, so very surreal and very, very grateful for all of that. We’re going to see.

“I want to see how hard he hits. Mike, I really want to see, bro. Let’s see all the legends, the myths, because you’re Iron Mike Tyson, but I have an iron chin, people know that.

“I take shots. I think people are underestimating me being able to deal with his power, and that’s something that’s going to make it interesting.”

Despite Tyson showing off some frightening power, Paul has faced widespread criticism for proposing the fight given their 31-year age gap.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion was shown recently using a walking stick, as fans became concerned for his health.

He has even faced a ‘brain damage’ warning from doctors, with worries over his punch resistance given his age.

Tyson is still training with purpose alongside roach Rafael Cordeiro, who has boldly defended Tyson’s decision to get back in the ring.

It is no surprise that ‘Iron’ chose to return to the ring, given he is set to earn a $20 million payday for the event.

Despite the fears for Tyson’s health, the showdown is set to go ahead and could even take place under professional rules.
