Human Rights Lawyer, Inibehe Effiong Speaks After Release From Prison

Human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong has reacted to his launch from the Uyo Correctional Centre.

Naija Information earlier reported that Effiong, who was incarcerated for one month on the Uyo jail, regained his freedom.

Remembers that on July 27, Justice Ekaette Obot jailed Effiong on grounds of alleged contempt of courtroom after he reportedly protested in opposition to the presence of armed policemen in courtroom.

The lawyer was in courtroom to defend Leo Ekpenyong, a lawyer, in a libel swimsuit filed by Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom when the incident occurred.
