Dessers Leads Rangers to Scottish Cup Final

Super Eagles forward Cyriel Dessers was the hero for Glasgow Rangers in their Scottish Cup semi-final clash against Hearts.

Dessers scored twice to secure a 2-0 victory for Rangers, booking their spot in the final against Old Firm rivals, Celtic.

After a challenging week that saw Rangers endure a three-game winless streak, manager Philippe Clement called for a strong response from his players.

The Forward answered the call with a stellar performance, helping his team to overcome Hearts and reach the Scottish Cup final for the first time in over 20 years.

Dessers opened the scoring just five minutes into the game, capitalizing on a well-timed pass from Gers midfielder Todd Cantwell.

He expertly maneuvered past Hearts’ defender Nathaniel Atkinson before slotting the ball past goalkeeper Craig Gordon for his 18th goal of the season.

Rangers continued to dominate proceedings, and their in form forward sealed the victory late in the game.

A dynamic run from Cantwell caused havoc in the Hearts’ defense, and although Dessers’ initial shot was blocked by Gordon, he made no mistake with the rebound, doubling Rangers’ lead and securing their place in the final.

Despite missing a late chance to set up Silva for a tap-in and another opportunity on the break, his brace proved to be enough for Rangers to progress to the final.

The victory was a much-needed boost for the Ibrox side, who are now set to face Celtic in the highly-anticipated Old Firm Scottish Cup final.
