Dangerous Cuban prospect stuns with vicious one-punch KO on Jake Paul's undercard

Yoenis Tellez stole the show on the Jake Paul vs Andre August undercard on Friday night.

The 23-year-old Cuban came up against Livan Navarro and he finished the bout in devastating fashion.

Unbeaten going into the fight, Tellez was always the favourite, but Navarro came out quickly, putting on the pressure early on.

But, a knockdown in round three turned the tide of momentum in Tellez’s favour.

From this point on, Tellez was on top, although Navarro bravely battled on.

But, in the tenth and final round of the fight, Tellez showed why he has been so highly rated, pulling a stunning left-hook out of nowhere.

As soon as the punch landed, Navarro was out cold as his body went stiff and he collapsed flat on his back, with his head outside of the ropes.

A count was not necessary, as the referee had immediately seen enough and waved off the contest.

This moves Tellez on to 7-0, with 6 KO’s, as he continues on his journey to the upper echelons of the super welterweight division.

This was the first time Tellez has been taken past the sixth round in his fledgling career so far, as he said after the fight: “I wasn’t looking for the knockout it just came.

“I trained and I was ready to go for the full ten rounds… it came you can’t be looking for it, it came.”

Asked what he wants for 2024, Tellez said: “Just keep getting better, keep working hard. All the fights that are put in front of me, I’m going to go for it and have an even better 2024 than 2023.”
