Aina, Awoniyi Face Relegation Threat as Nottingham Forest Suffers Defeat
Nigerian duo Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi find themselves on the verge of relegation as Nottingham Forest’s battle for survival takes a hit with a 2-0 loss against Everton, on Sunday.
Aina made his his fifth consecutive appearance since returning from injury, and featured for the entire 90 minutes.
Unfortunately, Awoniyi remains sidelined due to a muscle injury, depriving the team of his influential presence during this critical phase.
Nottingham Forest’s struggle deepens with just one victory in their recent matches, leaving them in the 17th position, one point above the relegation zone.
The team currently sits in 17th place, just one point above the relegation zone.
