Village head, others feared dead in Nasarawa land dispute

The village head of Ebbe Oka and several others have been reportedly killed in a dispute over land in Mararaba Udege, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

DAILY POST learnt that the clash, which erupted on Wednesday, also left several individuals with various degrees of injuries.

According to a resident of the community identified only as Osoebe, the conflict was between the Ambu and Eki dwellers, both belonging to the Afo ethnic group.

In response to the violence, scores of residents fled their homes, seeking refuge in neighbouring communities and bushes for safety.

Security operatives are said to have been deployed to the area to restore normalcy and ensure the safety of lives and property.
