Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella featured for Bayer Leverkusen, in their Europa League second leg draw against West Ham United on Thursday.

The Nigerian duo started the game from the bench, however, Leverkusen’s coach Xabi Alonso made decisive moves by introducing them after West Ham went ahead.

Boniface, who scored in the 2-0 first leg win, came on at the start of the second half and Tella in the 46th minute.

These substitutions proved instrumental in revitalizing Leverkusen’s offensive efforts and injected energy into the team’s attack as they sought to overcome West Ham’s defensive setup.

Leverkusen’s persistence paid off in the dying moments of the game, as Jeremie Frimpong’s 89th-minute goal leveled the scoreline.

The newly crowned German Champions now look ahead to a tough semi-final clash against AS Roma.
