2023: Tinubu Invites Buhari, Oshiomhole, Others For Special Prayers

The Tinubu Presidential Campaign Council has invited President Muhammadu Buhari and other newly appointed members for special prayers ahead of the start of the electioneering campaign on Wednesday.

Naija News reports that the spokesperson for the campaign council, Bayo Onanuga, made this known in a statement released in the early hours of Monday.

Onanuga stated that the special prayers would hold on Wednesday by 8:00 am at the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) headquarters, Central Business District in Abuja.

He directed that all the newly appointed members are expected to attend the special event and actively participate in the Peace Walk to show solidarity for the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu.

Onanuga also advised the newly appointed members to pick up their letters of appointment at the PCC headquarters, stressing that their appointment is a call to serve the great party that will demand total commitment and sacrifice from all.

The statement read, “The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council wishes to inform all members nominated to serve in the various directorates to report at the campaign headquarters on Wednesday 28 September 2022 at 8.00 am.

“Nominated members are expected to participate in the special prayer sessions marking the commencement of the 2023 presidential election campaigns.

“There will be a Peace Walk immediately after the prayers. All nominees will be issued their letters of appointment the same day.

“On behalf of the Chairman of the campaign council, President Muhammadu Buhari, our candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, we congratulate all members of the campaign council.

“We know this is a call to serve the great party that will demand total commitment and sacrifice from all of us. It is the council’s strong belief that all members will work hard to deliver a resounding victory for our great party in the 2023 Presidential election.

“We also want to use this medium to express our profound gratitude to all support groups registered with the campaign council. We are aware you have been working assiduously to promote our candidates and the party across the 36 states and FCT.

“The party and the candidates acknowledge your hard work and great financial and human resources that have been voluntarily expanded since we began this journey. We urge you to continue your good work. The PCC will work with the support groups as we move along into the campaign season.

“We encourage other groups yet to formally register with the PCC to do so immediately for proper harmonisation.”

Recall that the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday released a 422-man committee to drive the electoral strategy for Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election.

In the list released by Secretary of the PCC, James Faleke, the council will be chaired by President, Buhari, while Tinubu and the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, are Deputy Chairmen.

Tinubu’s running mate, Kashim Shettima was appointed as the Vice-chairman, while Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State retained his position as the Director-General of the council and former APC National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole was appointed as the deputy director-general (Operations).
