Super Eagles begin training for friendly clash with Ronaldo-led Portugal

The Super Eagles have begun preparations for the mouthwatering internal friendly toe with Portugal.

 

The team is scheduled to have its first training session this evening in Portugal.

 

Ten players arrived at the camp today after taking part in weekend matches for their respective Clubs.

 

Captain William Troost-Ekong, Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi, and Kevin Akpoguma of Hoffeiham are the early arrivals.

 

They were joined by Onyemaechi, Oghenekaro Etebo of Aris Thessaloniki, Rivers United full-back Ebube Duru and Emmanuel Dennis of Nottingham Forest.

 

Genk’s forward Paul Onuachu, Ademola Lookman who plays for Atalanta, Ajam defender Calvin Bassey, and Southampton’s Joe Aribo are the other players in camp.

 

Other invited players are expected to arrive on Tuesday for the November 17 clash in Lisbon.

 

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen and Olisa Ndah have pulled out of the game, they have been replaced by Cyriel Dessers and Chidozie Awaziem respectively.
