Amidst much anticipation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, made a grand entrance into Lagos on Sunday, marking the next leg of their highly anticipated three-day visit to Nigeria.

The royal couple landed at the bustling Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal II in Ikeja aboard an Air Peace flight, where they were warmly welcomed by a reception party led by the Chairman of the airline, Dr. Allen Onyema. Top-tier military officials and other dignitaries also graced the occasion.

Adding to the ceremonial welcome, a vibrant dance troupe showcased Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage with a captivating performance at the Presidential Wing of the airport.

Following their arrival, Prince Harry and Meghan are scheduled to meet with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the historic Lagos House in Marina, where discussions on various topics of mutual interest are expected to take place.

The royal visit to Nigeria forms part of their ongoing efforts to promote the Invictus Games, an inspiring sporting event founded by Prince Harry for wounded military veterans. The couple arrived in the country on Friday and has since been engaged in various activities aimed at supporting and raising awareness for the noble cause.
