Rigidity As Intermittent Gunshots Are Heard In Jibowu, Lagos

The Nigeria Police Power, Lagos State Command has confirmed there was unrest within the Jibowu space of the state.

Naija Information learnt that residents had been pressured to abandon their outlets and the streets on Tuesday after a number of gunshots had been heard within the space.

It was gathered that the pandemonium began after some hoodlums engaged themselves in a supremacy battle. The event in line with experiences had triggered site visitors gridlock, paralysing business actions within the space.

Commuters had been cautioned to be cautious as efforts are in place to ensure normalcy.

Confirming the incident by way of his Twitter deal with, Spokesperson, Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin stated the command was conscious of the fracas in Jibowu and has since deployed its operatives to revive normalcy.

“We’re conscious of the fracas occurring at Jibowu. Patrol groups have been deployed. We’re monitoring the scenario. Keep secure,” Hundeyin tweeted.

In a subsequent tweet, the PRRO acknowledged that “Normalcy already restored. Truth examine and tell us.”
