President Tinubu’s Ministers, Cabinet Members Set For Ministerial Retreat

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s newly appointed ministers and cabinet members are set to take part in a ministerial retreat.

Naija News understands that the new ministers and cabinet members will be inducted and made to sign a pledge to remain committed to the ‘renewed hope’ agenda of the President at the retreat.

According to reports, the ministerial retreat will be held at the Presidential Villa.

Recall that former President Muhammadu Buhari also held ministerial retreats for his ministers during his administration.

“There will be a ministerial retreat at the villa for the new ministers. I don’t know when yet but it will be after they are sworn in,” a presidential villa source told The PUNCH.

The presidency revealed that documentation for the newly-appointed ministers would commence today and the exercise is expected to end on Sunday, August 20.

Meanwhile, President Tinubu has scheduled Wednesday, next week, for his first Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting since he was sworn in as president on May 29.

Naija News understands that the inaugural FEC will hold after the swearing-in of new ministers into his cabinet on Monday.

It was gathered that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume and the cabinet office are working on the focus of the first FEC which will be more like induction, where President Tinubu is expected to share his priorities under Renewed Hope Agenda with the new cabinet.
