Premier League games today - your guide to Saturday's fixtures

The action in the Premier League is coming thick and fast with the midweek offerings still fresh in the mind.

There were huge results affecting all areas of the table, even if much of the focus was on the clash between Manchester City and Arsenal.

The weekend’s games promise to be thrilling but there are actually only three to tuck into on Saturday with Sunday taking centre stage. The focus will primarily be on the bottom of the table with an eye also on the battle for Europa League qualification spots.

Here is everything that you need to know about the action coming up on Saturday in the Premier League.

This is a big game at the bottom of the table with both sides certainly not safe yet. That being said, Crystal Palace and West Ham both look set to crawl over the line come the end of the campaign.

Palace have been rejuvenated by Roy Hodgson’s return, although they lost last weekend and are only eight points off the bottom three in 12th. One more win could be enough for them but West Ham United will want the points even more.

The Hammers’ mini-resurgence means they are five points off the bottom three with a game in hand and the situation does not look so bleak anymore.

Brighton are the team with the most games left to play this season which could mean their position in the table is somewhat false. They have dropped behind some fellow challengers for the Europa League spots but it is a more than salvageable situation.

They will be taking on a Wolves side that are in exactly the same situation as Palace. They probably need one more win to be assured of their Premier League status and they would do very well to get it against a Brighton side that can beat anyone on their day.

It is hard to know what Brentford’s ambitions are now as it seems their recent wobble has put an end to their chances of grabbing a Europa League or Europa Conference League place. They have had a superb season regardless and will back themselves to get three points at home against Nottingham Forest.

Forest will hope to put up a serious fight, having jumped out of the bottom three with victory over Brighton. It would be a really impressive result if they were to get three more points from Brentford.
