Musa is yet to feature for Nigeria, who booked their place in the final on Wednesday following a penalty shout-out win against former Champions South Africa.
In Saturday’s pre-match presser, Peseiro said the 2013 AFCON winner has been an invaluable member of the 25-man squad in spite of his game situation.
Peseiro revealed he consults with Musa on opposition teams, his own teammates as well as the nature and quality of the Cup of Nations.
As captain, off the pitch as much as on it the 31 year-old also helps to ensure discipline in the squad.
Reacting to his role in the current team and future invitations, Ahmed Musa reiterated his commitment to the Super Eagles and vows to keep honoring call-ups, “as long as I am still actively playing.”
