Nnadozie Wins WOTM Award as FC Paris Beat Real Madrid

Chiamaka Nnadozie delivered another solid performance as Paris FC achieved another great result in Europe, winning 1-0 against Real Madrid in Spain at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano on Wednesday.

Nnadozie was the stand out performer for the French side once again, making crucial saves to help her team record second win of Group phase.

Paris FC took the match to their hosts but it was Real Madrid who had the biggest chances. But facing the Madrilenians stands, was a wall called Chiamaka Nnadozie.

After stopping her penalty in the first leg at Stade Charléty, Nnadozie proved a stumbling block to Olga Calmona again in the 27th minute.

Three minutes later, the goalkeeper came to the rescue once again, stopping a low shot from Calmona and Julie Soyer throws herself into the rebound.

FC Paris should have been in front five minutes the restart, but Clara Mateo fails to convert the chance presented to her by Gaëtane Thiney.

Kessya Bussy also missed a good opportunity from close range despite being face-to-face with the Madrid goalkeeper.

Madrid almost punish the visitors for their misses, but Chiamaka Nnadozie, the, recently voted African goalkeeper of the year, once again stood firm on two occasions to deny the hosts.

The Parisiennes snatched the win 10 minutes from the end of the match, when Célina Ould Hocine won a penalty and was converted by Gaëtane Thiney.

Madrid pushed for equalizer but Parisiennes held on for second win over their opponents.

Nnadozie posted on her X account after the win:

“+ 3, CLEAN SHEET , GREAT AWAY WIN IN MADRID. AN INCREDIBLE WAY TO END THE YEAR, I GIVE GOD ALL THE GLORY. A BIG THANKS TO OUR TRAVELING FANS”

Paris FC are now third in the Group with a point adrift second place BK Hacken who lost to Chelsea in the other Group game.
