Last week the NFF announced Finidi as Super Eagles head coach, ending weeks of speculations.
Speaking to brila.net Eguavoen said: “For now, he’s the only one that has been announced. We are working on the assistant and hopefully we will make it public.”
He added, “So very soon, we’ll have another meeting. We want to make sure the bench is rich, knowledge and good enough for the team.”
The appointment of Finidi George as head coach was announced by the Nigeria Football Federation on Monday.
Eguavoen emphasized that it was a collective decision stating, “He’s now the Head Coach, it was not a one man show, it was a collective decision among the board.”
“We are happy to appoint him, and we’ll try to work out how he and his assistant can achieve something great for Nigeria.”
