Malik Scott addresses Thierry Henry jokes as he declares Kate Abdo wedding hope

Malik Scott has no problem with people making light of the working relationship Kate Abdo and Thierry Henry enjoy.

The Arsenal and France legend, who is happily married, is often the subject of light-hearted puns on social media where viewers of CBS’ Champions League broadcasts joke he has a crush on Abdo.

But Scott, who trains former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, insists he has no problem with the jokes as long as Abdo isn’t disrespected.

“Some people might say what do you think about the jokes about Kate and Thierry?” he told Inclave Casino.

“All of that stuff is all good, man. I’ve never been a man who has been insecure in a relationship. I don’t know how to go about jealousy and things of that nature.

“I enjoy the show, the relationships, the love, and whatever makes the chemistry pop for the show, as long as Kate is not disrespected or irritated. 

“I don’t have insecurities or jealousy when someone I’m seeing is working around other men, as long as she’s being respectful and she’s being respected, I’m totally fine with it.”

The programme that takes in the best of European football action is fronted by Abdo and features former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher and Man City star Micah Richards along with Henry, widely seen as Arsenal’s greatest ever player.

“None of this is a problem until she’s upset or irritated,” Scott continued. “I love the show, I love the chemistry they all have, I love the antics and it’s a beautiful thing.

“It’s a very special show and it has a very special girl on there and she’s about to be Mrs Scott soon.”

Scott and Abdo have only recently gone public but have been seeing each other much longer.

Their relationship made headlines last month when Carragher made a bizarre remark about Abdo ‘not being loyal’ to Scott live on air.

This wasn’t received well by the former professional boxer, who warned against making backhanded comments about his girlfriend.

Scott is clearly very in love with his significant other and says he plans to marry her.

“I want everyone to know that Kate is my lady, I want everyone to know that Kate is my future wife, I want everyone to know that I’m crazy in love with her,” he added.

“This is someone I’ve had feelings for like no one else in my life, I’m 43 years old so that says a lot.

“I’ve been in a few relationships in my life, but this one is very, very different.

“It’s made me better in a lot of areas of my life. It has made me a lot more structured. I’m still working on other things in my life.

“But when you’re dealing with a partner who wants better for you and she leads by example, it makes you want to be better in areas where you need to improve. And that’s what I admire most about Kate. 

“She’s extremely selfless, she’s the hardest worker in show business, and it’s a relationship I’m proud of.

“And this being in love with her thing, I would say this is the first time I’ve been in love.

“I never thought the love thing existed until I felt these feelings I have for Kate. Her happiness is my number one priority, her smile is the world to me, I’ve never watched boxing or filmed studied with my woman next to me – I love it when Kate is right next to me when I’m film studying, that’s a very serious thing for me.”
