The Minister of State for Labour, Festus Keyamo, has despatched a message to Nigerian pastors forward of the 2023 election.

Talking throughout an interview with Punch, Keyamo warned pastors to be conscious of political predictions as they could remorse the result after the 2023 polls

He suggested pastors to be taught from the 2015 election and keep away from throwing their weight behind any presidential candidate.

He insisted that Clergymen should lead folks to the dominion of God and never the presidential villa.

Based on him: “Having pastors tilt in the direction of a selected candidate is an effective factor for the nation however after they fail, they are going to now return to their core mandate. It’s a mistake they’re making and it’s important they make it. I believed they might have learnt their classes to separate the church from politics in 2015; they haven’t.

“They have to lead folks into the dominion of God and to not (the Presidential) Villa. Villa is just not heaven. God is permitting this to occur now as a result of, after 2023, they might realise the errors they’ve made and that they’ve plunged the church into the place they need to not have.”
