Carlo Ancelotti says Jude Bellingham and Zinedine Zidane are ‘similar’ in quality as the English midfielder dazzled once again for Real Madrid.
Bellingham scored two goals to create Real history as Los Blancos beat Girona 4-0 in their top of the LaLiga table clash on Saturday evening.
The 20-year-old proved crucial as Madrid extended their gap at the top of the league to five points in what was their 19th victory of the season.
Bellingham has now scored 20 goals in all competitions in his opening eight months at the club and is tipped for stardom at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He took Zidane’s famous No.5 shirt upon signing for Madrid, and now his boss Ancelotti has compared him to the club legend.
Speaking after the match on the Galacticos of past and present, he said: “They are similar. They have unbelievable quality.

“Zidane was excellent technically, Bellingham is incredible at arriving at the box. His movement in the first goal, very few can do that.”
Zidane scored 49 goals and assisted another 68 in 227 appearances for Madrid during a hugely successful stint in the Spanish capital.
He won one LaLiga title and the Champions League with Los Blancos, as well as two Spanish Super Cup during his five-year-stint.
The Frenchman is considered to be one of the greatest players to wear the iconic Madrid shirt, and Bellingham is well on his way to be held in the same esteem.
His latest goals have him sitting top of the LaLiga scoring rankings with 16 strikes after 21 matches, with Girona’s Artem Dovbyk second on 14.
Bellingham is also one of the top 100 scorers in Madrid history and has entered the list just months after signing.
The England international’s first goal of the evening saw him round the goalkeeper and tap into an empty net.
Vinicius Jr provided the assist and did so again in the second half, with Bellingham netting from close-range before he was substituted through injury.
