Jamie Carragher projected who would be the Champions League winner, but made a barbed comment about one of his favourites along the way.
This week sees all four quarter-final first-leg games, and the former Liverpool man chose his selections during pre-game coverage on CBS Sports.
He expected different fates for both remaining Premier League clubs, as Arsenal and Manchester City prepare for the latter stages of Europe’s biggest club tournament.
He said their ‘experience’ in the continent’s biggest tournament would see German giants Bayern Munich overcome English league leaders Arsenal, whilst Man City would see off Real Madrid because they’re ‘the best team in Europe’.
On the other side of the draw, he tipped Atletico Madrid to beat Borussia Dortmund, and proclaimed ‘Kylian is going to do it there’, with Mbappe and his PSG teammates projected to eliminate Barcelona.

He then tipped PSG to beat Atletico Madrid in one of the semi-finals to reach the showpiece at Wembley on June 1, whilst Manchester City would be victorious over Bayern on the other side of the draw.
On the final, Carragher said: ‘And the winner is, the team with 115 charges, Manchester City’, with a 2-1 scoreline written on the board.
Manchester City are awaiting the outcome of 115 charges brought against them by the Premier League at the start of last year, for regulation breeches across 14 seasons from 2009-10 onwards.
The charges include claims over financial reporting, and a lack of co-operation with a Premier League investigation which was opened in 2018.
Premier League CEO Richard Masters said a trial date for Man City’s case was set in January, but it has not yet been revealed when it would take place.
