Injury setback for Samuel Kalu

Samuel Kalu’s awaited start for Watford ended in disappointment on Monday away at Norwich.

The forward who has suffered different injuries since joining Watford from Bordeaux last summer was handed his first league start for the Hornets this season, but he suffered an injury setback Twenty-nine minutes in.

He has made nine appearances this season in the Championship, with most of them as a substitute.

On Monday, Kalu was replaced by Vakoun Bayo, who eventually became the hero by scoring a late winner at Carrow Road.

Bayo tapped the ball home after a slick move, Ismaila Sarr racing away down the left to heap more pressure on Manager-less Canaries.

Meanwhile William Troost-Ekong made a cameo appearance in the game for Watford, replacing Christian Kabasele in the 83rd minute, while Maduka Okoye was omitted from the match-day squad.
