‘Church shouldn’t take a place on candidates’

The Vicar Common, Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos and Episcopal Vicar of Ikeja Area, Monsignor John Aniagwu yesterday urged Christians to participate within the electioneering strategy of 2023 by amassing their Everlasting Voters Card (PVCs).

 
Aniagwu who can be the parish priest of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Ikeja, Lagos, who was represented by the Affiliate Parish Priest, Rev. Father Emmanuel Omoroke, SMMM spoke at a press briefing to mark the St. Leo Cathedral’s fiftieth anniversary, which started on Wednesday, August 24 and can finish on Sunday, September 4.
 
The Priest, who lamented the worsened safety scenario in Nigeria, said that prayers for the nation is among the essential focus of the anniversary, including that there’s nothing tough for God.
