FIFA U20 World Cup: Bosso aims to dash Brazil’s Hopes – Latest Sports News In Nigeria

Flying Eagles are one of six teams with a with 100 percent record in the competition after two games, thanks to back to back wins over Dominican Republic and Italy.

The boys also are through to the next round, but they need a point against the Brazilians to emerge as Group winners.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game, Bosso believes his side is facing a strong team, but expresses confidence that they’ll get the job done.

“Yes, we acknowledge that Brazil has always been a hard nut to crack for our team at this level,” the Flying Eagles Coach told BRL.

” We have lost a number of matches to them over the decades, but there is always a first time. We are riding on a wave of robust confidence and though we do not under-rate them, we certainly do not fear them.

Brazil are second on the table, and a win against Nigeria could see them finish as group winners, thanks to their impressive goal record.

The defending Champions have scored eight goals and conceded three in their two matches.

Bosso, who is leading the Flying Eagles to the FIFA World Cup for the second time, said they’ll approach the game without pressure.

“We have been able to fulfill our first objective for this championship; getting to the knockout stages.

“We will take it one match at a time from now onward. We don’t want to take it easy and lose against Brazil; that will not be good for our winning mentality,” He said.
