EPL: They’re unstable – Moises Caicedo told he should have joined Liverpool instead of Chelsea

Transfer: Moises Caciedo's destination revealed as player chooses club to join

Moises Caicedo should have joined Liverpool instead of ‘unstable’ Chelsea.

This claim was made by former England international, Lianne Sanderson.

Recall that Caicedo was given the chance to move to Liverpool after Brighton accepted a stunning £111m bid from the Reds.

But the Ecuador international made it clear he wanted to sign for Chelsea instead and the Blues eventually beat Liverpool’s offer to sign the midfielder in a £115m deal.

But Sanderson is ‘surprised’ Caicedo picked Chelsea over Liverpool, adding that she would not have wanted to move to Stamford Bridge given the ‘instability’ at the west London club.

“There is no stability at that club. And that is why I am surprised that Moises Caicedo went to Chelsea,” Sanderson told talkSPORT.

“People were saying, “but it is his dream club”. He tagged Arsenal as his dream club about six months ago.

“So great, fantastic story, and I think he is a fantastic signing. But if I was a player, I would not sign for Chelsea right now.

“Chelsea are a massive football club and I love Mauricio Pochettino but they are unstable. What are they doing right now? They finished 12th in the Premier League last season.”
