Chelsea fans love what Joe Cole did to Rio Ferdinand after Cole Palmer's last-gasp winner against Manchester United

Joe Cole was quick to taunt Rio Ferdinand following Chelsea’s incredible late comeback against Manchester United.

Cole Palmer scored twice deep into stoppage time as the Blues ran out 4-3 winners in a Premier League classic on Thursday night at Stamford Bridge.

Ferdinand’s beloved Red Devils looked set to snatch all three points to boost their top four hopes after coming from 2-0 down to lead 3-2.

But they were left empty handed as Palmer completed his hat-trick in dramatic fashion to spark wild scenes in west London.

And TNT Sports pundit Cole, who won three top-flight titles during his seven-year stay at Chelsea, couldn’t help but poke fun at his ex-England and West Ham teammate.

In a video shared by the broadcaster, the 42-year-old could be seen jumping for joy in disbelief as he celebrated with fans around him.

He then turned to the camera to gleefully ask, ‘Where is Rio?, before a grinning Cole pointed at the cameraman, telling him, ‘Look at him!’

With the camera now panned to Ferdinand, the 45-year-old could be seen with a look of horror on his face as United threw away a game again in the closing stages following last week’s draw at Brentford.

Chelsea supporters were loving Cole’s reaction, as one X user posted: “Hilarious! Once a Blue always a Blue.”

Another said: “So satisfying to watch.”

A third added: “Things we love to see.”

And one person commented: “Joe cooking there.”

Jamie Carragher defends Rio Ferdinand from Gary Neville’s cheeky dig about his change of style at Manchester United

Meanwhile this fan simply stated: “Proper Chels.”

Speaking to TNT Sports after the seven-goal thriller, a dejected Ferdinand said: “I’ve had every emotion today. At times I’ve been on the floor but at times I was high as a kite.”

Before adding: “I’m devastated, the Man United fans are devastated, but no one can deny that the desire and character of these players was there for all to see.”

Chelsea’s win over United has seen them move back into the top ten, where they now sit just two points off the Europa Conference League spot.

And they have Palmer once again to thank, as he brought up 33 goal involvements in all competitions this season – more than Jude Bellingham.
