Bukayo Saka: Arsenal Investigating Social Media Racist Accuser of England Star – Latest Sports News In Nigeria

The Premier League club reached out to social media app, X, authorities over the weekend to demand the removal of the offensive post and is now collaborating with data science company Signify to unmask the perpetrator.

Signify employs AI technology to identify users engaging in abusive behavior on social media platforms. Last year, the firm’s investigations led to the banning of 18 Arsenal members implicated in such activities.

The Metropolitan Police in London has also confirmed that officers are investigating the offensive post, although no arrests have been made thus far.

The abuse directed at Saka, 22, occurred following Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the Champions League last Tuesday, during which Saka was involved in a penalty appeal.

The abuser’s account has since been made private, and it remains unclear whether the offensive post has been removed.

Despite reporting the incident, the platform refused to take action, asserting that it did not violate safety policies.

Arsenal prioritizes player welfare and is fully focused on supporting Bukayo Saka amid this ordeal. The club initiated its investigation to identify the abuser and has begun collaboration with relevant authorities.

Arsenal’s partnership with Signify stems from previous incidents of racial abuse directed at Saka and fellow England teammates Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho during the Euro 2020 final shootout defeat to Italy.
