In a put up shared on the microblogging platform, Twitter, Bashir described the educational union as ineffective and needs to be scrapped and changed with educators who care about college students.

He tweeted: “ASUU is a really ineffective Union. They need to be scrapped & changed with educators that truly give a rattling about college students and the way that interprets to the way forward for this nation.”

ASUU Extends Strike

In the meantime, ASUU has determined to increase its ongoing strike after a sequence of heated discussions.

In response to the PUNCH, the choice was taken after the Nationwide Government Council assembly on the union’s headquarters on the College of Abuja on Monday morning.

Recall the Nationwide Government Council (NEC) of the placing lecturers held a gathering in Abuja over the lingering strike.

The assembly, which began on Sunday night time and slid into Monday morning, befell at its Nationwide Headquarters on the College of Abuja.
