As Arsenal aims to reclaim Premier League glory after two decades, goalkeeper David Raya has ignited a debate by boldly declaring his preference for Kylian Mbappe over Manchester City’s prolific striker, Erling Haaland.
Despite Haaland’s recent goal-scoring spree for Pep Guardiola’s side, Raya stands firm in his belief that Mbappe reigns supreme in the realm of footballing prowess.
Haaland’s stunning four-goal performance in Man City’s previous fixture, which evoked comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo, has heightened the intensity of the title race.
Arsenal currently holds the summit with 83 points but City looms just one point behind with three games left in their arsenal.
In a candid interview with ESPN UK on TikTok, when quizzed about whether Haaland or Mbappe is the better player, Raya replied, “Mbappe.”
Mbappe has registered 255 goals and 108 assists across 305 games for PSG.
