Mubarak added to Pillars’ misery by capitalizing on a defensive error to make it 3-0 for the home side.

With this result, Akwa United now stand at 37points from 32 games, significantly boosting their chances of survival in the league.

Meanwhile, Kano Pillars suffered their fourth defeat in five league matches, yet they maintain their position in ninth place on the league table.
