Yobe: Gov Buni makes fresh appointments hours after dissolving cabinet [See List]

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has approved the appointment of seven Senior Special Assistants, following the dissolution of the State Executive Council.

This was disclosed by his spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed, in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday in Damaturu.

The newly-appointed SSAs are: Dr. Muhammad Sani (SSA on Education),

Dr. Garba Iliya (SSA on Humanitarian Affairs), Barrister Saleh Samanja (SSA on Legal Matters) and Retired Brig. Gen. Abdulsalam Dahiru (SSA on Security).

Others are: (Dr. Mohammed Lawan Gana (SSA on Health), Aji Yerima Bularafa (SSA on Political Affairs) and Abdullahi Bego (SSA on Wealth Creation).

According to the statement, the appointments of the senior special assistants became necessary to avoid creating a vacuum in view of the strategic position of their respective offices.

The new appointees were mostly former commissioners and special advisers to the governor.
