High-flying Nigeria National League outfit, Sporting Lagos, on Sunday unveiled their new jersey, courtesy of partnership with Klasha, in their home match against Crown FC at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos.

The new jersey, which features the Klasha logo across the front of the club’s Umbro jerseys , will be worn by the players during all their league matches, as well as in any other official competitions during the 2023 season.

The jersey was worn at the club’s first game of the season March 22 in an away game against Smart City, before it was unveiled Sunday amid fanfare.

Sporting Lagos, founded in 2021 by Shola Akinlade, Founder/CEO of Paystack, has the immediate task of gaining promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Speaking on the partnership, Jess Anuna, CEO of Klasha, said, “We are delighted to be the main shirt sponsor for Sporting Lagos. The club’s strong appeal in the NNL, combined with its culture and focus reflects our values. We are committed to aligning ourselves with organisations that have a culture of excellence, so, we are a proud partner to the team and are excited to connect our customers and their fans.’’

Ekene Agu, a member of Sporting Lagos’ governing board, expressed delight over the partnership deal with Klasha.

He said, “We are regular customers of Klasha. We order essential sports equipment we can’t find locally, right to our door, and use many of their financial services. We are excited to take our relationship to the next level with this jersey partnership. We hope our community will connect with their brand and product the way we have.”
