Neville, Carragher reveal favourite games of 2022-23 season

Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher and Manchester United legend Gary Neville have revealed their respective favourite games of the season.

The Premier League has just one match left before the curtain is drawn to allow the summer transfer window commence fully.

Unsurprisingly, Carragher picked Liverpool’s 7-0 mauling of Manchester United as his favourite match of the season.

For Neville, the 2022 World Cup final between Argentina and France was his top match of the football season.

“It has been a poor season for Liverpool but that game will still be talked about in 10 or 20 years, there is no doubt about it. You beat your rivals, 7-0, it is laughable, isn’t it,” he said.

On his favourite game, Neville said, “We have had a very unique season where the World Cup final was sandwiched between two halves of the season. That World Cup final was probably the best game that I have ever seen live. It was absolutely unbelievable, that game.”
