Igbos Attacks: Now That The Election Is Over This Is What We Need To Do

Popular Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie has urged Nigerians to set aside their differences and come together now that the election has come to an end.

Naija News reports that the recently concluded elections has created rifts among the citizenry in the nation.

There were alleged profiling of the Igbos in Lagos State during the recently concluded gubernatorial elections.

Some of the electorates also claimed that they were not allowed to vote because they looked like Igbos.

There have also been incidents of Igbo businesses being attacked.

These situations have subsequently led to a sense of foreboding and mistrust among the Igbo and Yorubas in Lagos State.

Addressing the situation during an interactive session on Instagram Live, the thespian insisted that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should be held accountable for the general election which was marred by thuggery, violence and vote buying.

Okorie appealed that it was now time for the country to reunite and heal despite the political and ethnic differences that played out during the elections.


She also turned down an invitation by some of her northern fans, who wanted her to come over to their region and show them love.
