‘Football happened today’ – Paul Offor apologises to Sporting Lagos fans following poor defeat to Crown FC

Sporting Lagos boss Paul Offor has tendered an apology to his side’s home fans after their loss to Crown FC on Sunday.

Crown FC defeated Sporting 1-2 at the MJA, Onikan, in Lagos, scoring an opening goal a few minutes into the end of the first half and doubling it later towards the end of the encounter.

In a chat with Brila, Offor appreciated his players for the efforts displayed throughout the match and assured fans of continuity in terms of hard work to reach their goal.

He also apologized to the fans after some fans had transferred their frustration on him after the loss.

“I feel very sorry for the fans, they deserved the very best, we have a set of amazing fans and we owe them these three points, we are going to replace it”,

”We are going away next, double away – we are going to fight to win for the fans, look at the numbers that came to back us up today”.

Next for Sporting Lagos is an away match against Gateway FC in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
