EPL: Mendy told to leave Chelsea

Chelsea goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy, has been told by the club’s board that he can leave Stamford Bridge this summer transfer window.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Chelsea are ready to listen to offers for Mendy this summer.

Chelsea are looking to trim manager Graham Potter’s squad at the end of the season and Mendy has been told by the Blues that he can leave the west London club.

Mendy has not featured for Chelsea since November and has been working his way back to fitness after undergoing surgery on a fractured finger at the start of January.

The Senegal international will still have two years remaining on his current contract with Chelsea at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old recently turned down Chelsea’s offer of a new deal earlier this season.
