EPL: Take him, he scored hat-trick against Liverpool – Bent hands Arsenal player to sign

Former Tottenham man, Darren Bent has told Manchester United to snub a move for Paris Saint-Germain star, Neymar and bring in Chelsea star, Mason Mount instead.

According to talkSPORT, the Red Devils have joined Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign Mason Mount this summer.

The Red Devils are even going ahead to make their first bid of £50m for the England international, but the Blues are holding out for a fee closer to £80m.

But Bent believes United should spend no more than £40m with the player having just a year left on his contract.

United have also been linked with a shock switch for Neymar, with Erik ten Hag remaining tight-lipped over a potential transfer.

Speaking on Drive, host Andy Goldstein pointed out that he would prefer the England midfielder joins his beloved United ahead of Neymar.

To which Bent said, “I 100 percent totally agree with that.

“Even though Neymar is a better player, I think Mason Mount would be a better fit in and around the dressing room, never gives you any problems.

“You know exactly what you’re getting, you don’t have to worry on a Friday night, ‘is my phone going to ring?’ because Mason Mount is in trouble again.”
