Warriors of Zimbabwe defender, Jordan Zemura insists the team is well prepared for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Baltemar Brito’s side will do battle with their illustrious opponent at the Huye Stadium, Butare on Sunday (today).
The Warriors played out a 0-0 draw against Rwanda in their first game last Wednesday.
The left-back stated that they want to record their first win in the qualifying series.
The Udinese of Italy player further said the Warriors are in buoyant mood ahead of the game.
“We are ready to play, we are ready to compete, we have the courage to face them,” the 23-year-old declared in a short video posted on the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) official X handle.
“We have trained together, you can see there is a lot of quality in the team, we try to encourage ourselves.
“We know the quality Nigeria have as a team. We just have to stay strong, be on top of our game and stay with each other.”
